Our Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) graduates would automatically be eligible to become Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT) with the Yoga Alliance after the successful completion of the course.

We offer an comprehensive yoga teacher training certification program at our studio. The course duration of the program is 30 weeks (6 hours per week) for a total of 180 contact and 43 non contact hours. Our studio is an Registered Yoga School (RYS-200) with the Yoga Alliance, USA. We have purposely spread the course for 30 weeks so that students get time to explore their own bodies and can practice for more time at home as well.

About Trainer
- More than 17 years of experience in teachings of Hatha yoga
- B.E, Diploma in Hatha Yoga ( from India), C.Y.T, R.Y.T-200, E.R.Y.T-200.
- Yoga instructor with The Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board (2005-contd.).
- Wellness Instructor (Yoga & Pilates) with the City of Brampton (2008-contd.).
- Ex. Yoga Instructor for Centre for Education and Training ( Peel District School Board ;2003-2007) .
- Yoga Instructor with the M/s Holistic Bodyworx (RYS-200) since 2005.
- Teacher’s trainer with M/s Holistic Bodyworx since 2006.
Course requirements /expectations
- Regular attendance for 180 hours in the school.
- Timely completion of home and in class assignments.
- Satisfactory performance of class presentations.
- Successful completion of practical and theory tests.
- Completion of total of at least 43 non-contact hours in different segments .
- Punctuality of timings, maintaining respect & co-operative behaviour in the class.
Eligibility requirements/Expectations
- 18 years of age or older.
- Read, write and speak English.
- Genuine interest in becoming yoga teacher.
- Right attitude to learn & practice the yogic techniques with full patience and sincerity.
Payment terms and missed classes
- 50% advance before the start of the course and balance spread over the next 6 months in the form of 6 post dated cheques.
- No refund once the course starts.
- Provision of 2 free make up classes.
- For more than 2 missed classes students have to make up with private coaching by paying extra amount or students would have to make up with the other parallel YTT group if any on the other days at this school.
- Income of successful yoga teachers comes from multiple sources by teachings in different yoga studios, private teachings, schools, fitness centers, recreational facilities, old age homes, health centers, condos, corporations etc..
- New yoga teachers earn in the range of $30-60/- per class as employee and $60-100/-per class from their own private classes.
- Business part of yoga would be a part of the course curriculum and nearly 5-6 hours would be spent on this topic.

Course Curriculum
A) Theoretical Study
- Introduction, meaning and history of yoga, importance of yoga in our daily life.
- Introduction to different types of yoga: Raja-yoga, Ashtanga yoga, Bhakti yoga, Karma Yoga, Janna yoga or Gina-yoga, mantra yoga, Hatha yoga etc.
- Introduction of some prominent yogis e.g. Maharishi Patanjali,Yogi Gorakshnath, Maharishi Dayanand,Swami Vivekanand,Swami Shivananda, Swami Ramdev.
- Importance & way of meditation i.e. Chakras, Kundalini, Prana, Kleshas, five states of Chitta, five modifications of mind.
- Knowledge of Samadhi and Nabhi Pariksha.
- Study of physical anatomy and subtle anatomy.
- Study of yog sutras of Maharishi Pantanjali.
- Study of yogic management of common diseases through yoga.
- Importance, technique & benefits of Shat-Karma ( cleansing process).
Anatomy & Physiology & Its Application to Yoga
- Study of important bodily system i.e digestive, skeletal and muscular , nervous, endocrine, structure and organelles of the cells, circulatory and respiratory system.
The subtle anatomy of Yoga
Pranic / Energetic Anatomy
- Energy centers / chakras, nadis.
- Study of seven main chakras in regard to their location, tattawa, prsiding deity, shakti and no. of petals etc.
- Controlling energy - use of bandhas, mudras (sacred symbols), pranayamah and kriyas (to put into action).
The Philosophy of Yoga
- The foundations of yoga philosophy - ancient texts including: Patanjali's Yoga Sutras - the eight limbs, Bhagavad Gita, Hatha Yoga Pradapika . The Ethics in yoga philosophy, Professional ethics in business, teaching and life, Yogic lifestyle - yoga as a way of life ,Vibration of ,Verbal & non-verbal chanting.
The Business
- How to run a successful yoga business, the "business of yoga" and marketing.
B) Practical


The practical part of Hatha yoga study includes the instruction & practice, teaching methods including the art of teaching i.e. qualities, presence, energy, intention, the role of a good teacher, communication skills, presentation skills , public speaking, sequencing and class design, student demonstrations, observation and assistance in regard to the following :
- more than 110 asanas (bodily postures).
- various techniques of breathing exercises i.e Pranayama.
- Shatkarmas i.e. six acts of yoga.
- Bhandas i.e. locking actions in our body to remove the physical and mental blocks and clear up the path of pranic energy channels.
- Mudras.
Course Duration:
- 30 weeks ( 6 hrs per week ).
Registration & Requirements
In order to register for the course, please fill out the registration form, and submit with a deposit of $500. The previous yoga experience is extremely helpful and advisable but it is not a pre-requisite for the course. Since during the course there will be a considerable amount of yoga practice, as well as an expectation of developing your own personal yoga practice, the sooner you start practicing the better it would be..
Refund policy:
No refund is allowed once the course starts. Full refund of deposit money will be made if the course did not start for low enrolment. Minimum three students are required to sign up for the start of the course.
