Who We Are

Sarnia's First and Only Yoga and Pilates Studio

Yoga is a full body experience. You’re working the legs, glutes, arms, and core.  Everything is engaged. Yoga has the added element of mindfulness. This allows us to slow and calm the mind and teaches us to tune into our breath.  Pilates is also a full body workout that works from the centre of the body outward. It increases your body awareness, strengthens your core and improves posture. Yoga and Pilates both have their merits and the best part is that you don’t have to choose!  At Northern Star Yoga & Pilates you can combine the two for an amazing way to transform your body and daily routine.

Julie Kohlmeier

YOGA

Julie Kohlmeier's passion for yoga started in 2011.  She received her 200 hour Teacher Training in 2016 and maintains a dedicated practice.  Julie loves to create light-hearted, fun and challenging classes that fuse Vinyasa flow.  Her classes will leave you with an energized body and a quiet mind.  

Tricia Slipacoff

PILATES

Tricia Slipacoff has taught fitness in Sarnia for 40 years. She has specialized in teaching mat pilates for the past 12 years. Tricia offers pilates classes at beginner and intermediate levels.

Julie has a gentle, loving and fun personality on and off the mat.  The yoga sessions Julie creates are varied and joyful and she has the ability to motivate with clear physical and verbal instructions.  Julie continues to pursue her yoga knowledge to keep us safe and engaged in our practice.  Her sessions are challenging, helping us to increase our fitness and flexibility. I look forward to the positive energy of each session with fellow yoga enthusiasts under Julie’s guidance.
